Returning home with neither energy nor desire for housework, I reached for a book:The Gospel of the Beloved Companion, a translation made in from a previously little known first century Gospel written in Greek.

It is thought to have been brought to the Languedoc in France (at that time Roman Gaul) from Alexandria in the early to middle part of the first century (thus showing it to be decades earlier than any of the four Gospels we know best).

The translator and commentator is Jehanne de Quillan, a woman with ties to a 12th Century Community in France whose members have guarded this treasure.
