Hobby Lobby owner professes faith in practice, proselytizes through ads

The Oklahoma "architect" of Hobby Lobby has built a retail business that soon will total 400 stores with his keen business acumen and an unabashed reliance on the Lord.
When you walk into a Hobby Lobby Creative Center, you'll hear Christian music.
The company also pays for full-page newspaper ads proclaiming Christian messages at holiday times. And, paying homage to the Sabbath day and family togetherness, Hobby Lobby stores are always closed on Sundays.
"I think we really try to be bold in our witness of Christ," said Green, Hobby Lobby chief executive.
"We're not ashamed of being Christians."
He said his mother's prayerful influence and his own commitment to his faith are often behind his company's decisions and the many mission projects he undertakes each year.
